All of us know family, friends, neighbors and acquaintances who do not claim Jesus as their Savior, and we feel compelled to share the Gospel with them. This resource allows you to do that in a very non-confrontational way. By simply giving someone an evangelism card or pamphlet, or sending a link to this website, you have obeyed Jesus’ command to share Him with others. While it is preferable to share a personal testimony or engage in “small talk,” the goal is to provide the resource and let the seekers pursue Jesus and His truths further. Partnering churches will receive inquiring phone calls and take it from there.
Many will start sharing Jesus on their own without a participating church partner. As sharing increases and seekers respond, churches will eventually join in by hosting “new believer” classes and training more “fishers of men” from their congregations. Until a local church participates, we can begin as individuals, acting as “Jerry Appleseed,” “Maria Appleseed” or “Tyron Appleseed”. This method is very similar to how the twelve apostles began to spread the “Good News” as Jesus commanded.
When sharing, it is recommended that the initial response phone number on the card be different from your personal number. Some responders may be more interested in practical support rather than spiritual connection and this platform is not designed for such issues. Using a burner phone or a temporary second cell phone for these interactions is a prudent approach. Once a local church joins, their phone number will be used and many churches offer food banks, recovery counseling, grief counseling, etc.
We assume and hope that partnering churches will adhere to an evangelical doctrine that supports Biblical inerrancy and salvation through Jesus alone. While many other topics will bring many opinions, these two anchor doctrines are crucial to a Biblical view of salvation.
The “seeker” class curriculum is up to each individual church and can be as simple as the “Roman Road” or can be longer and utilize Evangelism Explosion for instance. Sharing Jesus is primarily planting seeds.
