Genesis 2:7 tells us “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”
The Bible doesn’t tell us God created “soup that morphed into man”. This theory – theistic evolution – says God created the Universe and then let evolution happen over long periods of time. The evidence is not there plus God created mankind to worship Him so why would He wait billions of years for that?
The errant theory of evolution is presented as a Law of Science but is really just a theory that requires much more faith than simply believing God’s evidence. Answers in Genesis says this about evolution:
It requires increases in organization from the simple to the more complex, from non-life to life and from lower to higher life-forms
Mutation, selection, isolation and mixing are its driving forces
It has no plan and there is no purpose
5 Summarized from Did God Use Evolution? by Dr. Werner Gitt and published by Answers in Genesis
The Law of Biogenesis says life comes from life with no known natural processes by which simple molecules combine on their own to form the basic building blocks of life – such as proteins. Counter to that, abiogenesis claims life began with a random mix of chemicals with enough intelligence to replicate itself and life slowly evolved into the first common cell – LUCA – the Last Universal Common Ancestor. There is no evidence to support this and single-celled organisms like this bacteria cell exist, but they are not simple at all.
A recent theory suggests the first cells were similar to stem cells that could adapt easily but they only exist within living organisms and do not survive on their own.
The simplest known living one-cell organism today is the prokaryote – a form of bacteria. It must contain:
A capsule and cell wall made of proteins
Proteins composed of amino acids
Amino acids made of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen
Cytoplasm that is mostly water
DNA, RNA and ribosomes for its intelligence
A complex flagellum motor that allows the cell to move
While bacteria do mutate into millions of different species, they remain bacteria and do not become any other form of life. Micro-evolution – mutation – does occur within families (kinds) but macro-evolution – transitions between kinds – is only supported by errant theories and false claims of evidence.
Within living cells are systems that function like machines such as the bacterial flagellum, a motor-like structure that moves the cell. It is complex, coordinated and purposeful and could not function unless all parts existed simultaneously.
Kinesins – tiny delivery mechanisms found inside more complex cells – are structures that move proteins and materials inside the cell at speeds estimated around 400 miles per hour. They must work this quickly as our bodies replace over 2 million cells per second.
These systems operate with precision and coordination. They resemble engineered machines rather than random assemblies and they clearly point to a Designer.
The Miller–Urey experiment claimed life could begin on its own, but it did not create living cells. Critical points:
Biological information is not explained by chemistry alone. Scientists understand physical processes but intelligence directs the system. DNA and RNA reveal this intelligence and point to a Designer.
DNA and RNA carry information which directs every function of living cells and controls growth, repair and reproduction. The genome (gene + chromosome) is the set of genetic instructions within an organism. Claims that some DNA is redundant or meaningless have been overturned as scientists learn more about its functions.
DNA stores ultra-high-density data. One human cell contains about 6.5 feet of DNA which holds over 600 million bytes of information – much higher than any human technology today. It is coded just like computer software so where did the code come from if not God?
Simple chemical compounds have been detected on meteorites, leading some to suggest that life came from outer space but there is no evidence that these basic compounds could develop into DNA and no explanation where the intelligence needed to direct life originated.
This cross-shaped protein provides structural support, regulates the performance of cells and works with cell adhesion. It performs a vital function in nearly all tissues and organs and its proper function is essential for tissue development, maintenance and repair. This is another example of God designing us with Jesus in mind.
Evolution claims mutations can progress “upwardly” from one kind (family) into another. This idea conflicts with the Second Law of Thermodynamics – also known as the Law of Increasing Entropy (changing systems move toward disorder not increased complexity) – which states that mutation cannot decrease entropy (disorder) but can only break even.
A fairly recent study by researcher, geneticist and evolutionist Michael Lynch, Distinguished Professor Emeritus in the Department of Biology at Indiana University Bloomington, revealed that our “Genetic Load” or “mutation load” is destabilizing us on a genomic level. In other words, we are digressing and not progressing. His research shows a digression of our physical and mental attributes at a rate of approximately 1% per generation. He blames this not on entropy but on “soft living” and the theory that our easier lifestyle in the West has interfered with the natural order of removing the “weak” with evolution’s “survival of the fittest.”
A fellow geneticist and evolutionist, Dr. Gerald Crabtree, had similar opinions and even questioned how we got these abilities in the first place and when the digression began. He even claims our intellectual abilities likely peaked 2000 to 6000 years ago. While this evidence is clearly refuting macroevolution, most evolutionists refuse to buck the status quo such as this quote by Berkely PhD and geneticist Dr. Kevin Mitchell regarding Crabtree’s findings when he stated: “It seems unlikely, a priori (before the evidence is even considered), that these mechanisms (digression) play an important role. First, it would seem bizarre that evolution would go to such lengths to craft a finely honed human genome over millions of years only to let all hell break loose.”
The Hebrew word min – kind or family – suggests animals only reproduce within their kind as we see today. There is no reliable evidence of one kind evolving into another, such as fish becoming land animals or one animal family turning into another. In fact, many of today’s “living fossils” like the horseshoe crab, coelacanth (bony-looking fish), sturgeon, alligator, crocodile and platypus indicate no changes whatsoever from their supposed millions-of-years-old relatives. “Missing links” are truly missing.
Discovered in Ethiopia in 1974, Lucy consisted of about 40% of a skeleton and the bones closely matched those of a chimpanzee. Curved toe bones and wrist structure indicate a tree-dwelling primate, not a human ancestor.
In the 1800s, Ernst Haeckel claimed embryos pass through evolutionary stages before birth. His drawings were fabricated and have been debunked for many years, yet they still appear in textbooks.
This so-called half-bird, half-dinosaur fossil was sold to a U.S. museum for $80,000 but National Geographic later retracted the story after it was proven to be a forgery.
While evolutionists claim it is “wired backwards”, the human eye is now known to include advanced depth perception, rapid adjustment to brightness and complex coordination with the brain. The photocells actually point away from the incoming light which miraculously protects the retina from overloading. The eye performs five specific functions simultaneously to protect itself and provide vision. 6 Summarized from Criticizing a Perfectly Engineered Eye by Randy Guliuzza, P.E. and M.D. at Institute of Creation Research, Acts and Facts, May-June 2026
Large portions of DNA were once dismissed as useless leftovers of evolution. Research has since shown that much of this DNA plays important roles in regulation, repair and cell function.
Several human organs were claimed to be evolutionary leftovers with no purpose but:
The appendix helps regulate gut bacteria
Wisdom teeth are useful in hunter-gatherer cultures
Tonsils help trap infections
The tailbone anchors muscles essential for movement
This nerve travels from the brain, down around the heart and back up to the larynx. It is now known to be critical for organ coordination and fetal development.
Previously described as useless remnants, these bones are now known to support large reproductive organs. Despite this, they are still presented as evolutionary evidence.
Similarity in DNA and physical features is often presented as proof that all life evolved from a common ancestor. But, similarity points to common design, not common descent. God designed DNA to function across all living organisms and used a similar framework. This explains why animals and humans have similar bone structures, organs and systems such as eyes, lungs, hands, skin and brains. God placed limits as each Family reproduces only within its kind – explaining why no missing links exist.
Some of the strongest challenges to evolution come from its own supporters. Their admissions reveal that evolution is often defended as a belief system and not as a conclusion compelled by evidence.
Charles Darwin wrote: “To suppose that the eye with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree.” 7 From Origin of Species, chapter VI
His writings also reveal deeply troubling views on race, women and human worth. His prejudices led to eugenics – controlled and selective breeding – and communism.
Niles Eldredge admitted: “… Change in the manner Darwin expected is just not found in the fossil record.” 9 As reported in AZ Quotes, Quotir and Inspiring Quotes.
Richard Dawkins stated: “The difference between life and non-life is a matter not of substance but of information. Living things contain prodigious quantities of information. Most of the information is digitally coded in DNA, and there is also a substantial quantity coded in other ways.” 8 From his book The Greatest Show on Earth Somebody – Hint: God, the Creator of the Universe – had to write this code.
Michael Ruse said plainly: “Evolution is a religion. This was true … in the beginning and … it is still true today.” 10 From the 2000 article “How evolution became a religion: creationists correct?” published in the National Post
Richard Lewontin “Our willingness to accept scientific claims that are against common sense is the key to understand the struggle between science and the supernatural … we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door.” 11 From his 1997 essay Billions and Billions of Demons
Sir Julian Huxley declared: “The God hypothesis … is becoming an intellectual and moral burden on our thought … and we must construct something to take its place.” 12 From his The New Divinity in 1964 – also published as Essays of a Humanist
Will Provine, evolutionary biologist at Cornell, summarized the affect of evolution with this: “As the creationists claim, belief in modern evolution makes atheists of people. One can have a religious view that is compatible with evolution only if the religious view is indistinguishable from atheism.” 13 No Free Will. Catching Up with the Vision, Ed. By Margaret W. Rossiter (Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 1999) pS123.
Evolution wasn’t confined to biology. It was adopted by sociopaths who rejected God and elevated human power above moral accountability. Human life was deemed expendable and – when God was rejected – strength and power overruled empathy.
Karl Marx, the founder of communism, wrote in response to Darwin’s Origin of Species that it was “the book which contains the basis in natural history for our view.” 14 Written in a personal letter to German socialist and close friend Ferdinand Lasalle
Adolf Hitler adopted social Darwinism and believed that “survival of the fittest” justified eliminating those he considered weak. He despised the Jews, people of color, the disabled and other groups and used evolutionary thinking to support eugenics, forced sterilization and mass genocide. Much of the German scientific community supported Darwin’s ideas during this time.
Friedrich Engels, Marx’s benefactor, said: “Darwin, by the way, whom I’m reading … is absolutely splendid. There was one aspect of teleology (the doctrine of design and purpose) that had to be demolished, and that has now been done. Never before has so grandiose an attempt been made to demonstrate historical evolution in Nature, and certainly never to such good effect.” 15 Included in a letter to Karl Marx
Vladimir Lenin, the first head of Soviet Russia, did not specifically quote Darwin but he clearly opposed the concept of a human soul and stated “… we must combat religion.” He was a strong follower of Marx and his dictatorship and policies cost the lives of millions.
Joseph Stalin murdered millions, openly rejected God and encouraged others to read Darwin with: “You know, they are fooling us, there is no God and then I’ll lend you a book to read; it will show you that the world and all living things are quite different from what you imagine, and all this talk about God is sheer nonsense … Darwin.” 16 as reported in Yemelyan Yaroslavsky’s 1942 book Landmarks in the Life of Stalin, specifically on page 90. It paraphrases Marx’s quotes from his youth.
Mao Zedong, genocidal leader of communist China, said: “Correct and good things have often at first been looked upon not as fragrant flowers but as poisonous weeds; Copernicus’s theory of the solar system and Darwin’s theory of evolution were once dismissed as erroneous and had to win out over bitter opposition.” 17 From his speeches in 1957 and as reported in Uncommon Descent of September 5, 2020
Christian Foundations in Science
Christian scientists such as Copernicus, Kepler, Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton, Robert Boyle, Leonard Euler, Michael Faraday, James Maxwell, Florence Nightingale, Gregor Mendel, George Washington Carver, Louis Pasteur and Samuel Morse made discoveries which advanced civilization tremendously. Alexander Fleming stated this after discovering penicillin, “I thank God for sending me penicillin … I did not invent penicillin. I observed it. God was the first to put it here on Earth for the wellbeing of mankind.”
Hospitals and Medical Care
Hospitals started by Christians included the earliest forms back in the 300’s to serve the poor and the sick. Recent major hospitals started by Christian organizations include Pennsylvania Hospital, New York Presbyterian and Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital and many others started with Catholic and Protestant organizations.
Charity and Protection of the Vulnerable
Charities and child protection groups heeded Jesus’ command to “take care of the least of these.” They include MAP Intl. (Medicine for all People), World Vision, Samaritan’s Purse, Compassion International and the Salvation Army.
Youth, Community and Counseling Organization
Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Young Life, Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ), YMCA, YWCA, Alcoholics Anonymous and groups of licensed counselors were founded by born-again Christians.
Similar humane endeavors started by atheists or evolutionists – ?? Crickets.
So, “believe the science” really means “believe our imaginations, our modeling and our computer simulations and ignore the clear scientific declarations stated in the Bible long before mankind discovered them.”
Instead of evolving into gods at the top of some evolutionary ladder, it appears we are actually decaying into defiant and corrupt beings, with the theory of evolution being a main contributor. Mankind appears to be headed to self-destruction, but God offers both current and eternal relief from our fallen world through a relationship with Jesus the Christ.
