Creation of the Universe and the Laws of Science
Jesus was not created by God but has existed forever as part of the Trinity – think of it as Tri-Unity. He was before everything and was the instrument through Whom God created all things.

“I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You gave Me to do. And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.”
Sharing Jesus claims the Bible is inerrant in its original texts (the autographs), is scientifically sound and trustworthy and it says God created the universe and life from nothing (ex nihilo). He then established the Laws of Science to govern His creation. These laws contain rigid formulas for thermodynamics, gravity, nuclear physics, chemistry, etc. and constants – fixed numbers – that cannot change without catastrophic consequences everywhere. Fine-tuning and stability affirm this Creator.
Evolutionists and atheists assume no supernatural events ever happened and that God and the Bible are myths. Their claim for the beginning is the Nebular Theory – the Big Bang – when everything started by itself billions of years ago and chemicals combined, life started from chemical “soup” and intelligence was already there which enabled cells to replicate. Humanity is said to have evolved “from goo to zoo to you”, “from molecules to man” or “from atoms to animals” resulting in our current state as no more than intelligent apes.

Nebular theory claims gaseous molecules rotated and then compressed into denser matter and eventually planets, stars, etc. but gas naturally wants to expand and increased spinning raises temperature which pushes atoms further apart. Some planets and many moons rotate in the opposite direction of others – retrograde – which defies “spinning” uniformity. The “collision theory” says major impacts during or after the Big Bang caused some planets and moons to change rotation. But, big collisions always change orbits from circular to elliptical and two of our planets rotating in retrograde have circular orbits. “Captured” planets and moons usually have elliptical orbits also.
Galactic mega-structures such as the Hercules–Corona Borealis Great Wall, the Giant GRB Ring, the Large Quasar Group and the newly discovered Giant Arc confuse cosmologists who claim “billions of years”. Some of these stretch for billions of light-years. The expanding universe theory doesn’t fit well with these massive clusters as some are 50,000 times larger than our galaxy – the Milky Way – which contains hundreds of billions of stars and has a diameter of 100,000 light years. One light-year equals 5.9 trillion miles. These massive super-clusters show a high degree of aging based on high levels of redshift – the slowing of light wave frequency. The problem for the “gradualists” is that these clusters appear very mature during what is believed to be early stages of the universe. Also, discoveries show that the universe is not as uniformly populated as previously thought.
is the universe really expanding?
The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) evidence likely refutes the expansion theory. Jake Hebert, PhD at the Institute of Creation Research, cosmologist Richard Ellis of University College London and Garth Illingworth of the University of California Santa Cruz agree the mega-clusters of galaxies pose a problem for an expanding universe. 1 Excerpt from ICR News (Institute of Creation Research) September 5, 2022
Acceleration and then deceleration are theorized by the evolutionists to make the stability theories work but initial mass and energy had to travel at speeds faster than light, which Einstein stated is impossible. Dark matter and dark energy are theorized to have offset the matter and energy we see but they are described as negative and undetectable and there is little supporting evidence.
The original elements – mostly hydrogen and helium – are said to have existed in equilibrium – singularity – for eternity and without a cause until the Big Bang. God is sometimes called the Uncaused Cause since every effect must have a cause. Evolutionists claim singularity happened without a cause but argue that the idea of God existing without a cause is invalid. It appears all matter, energy and time itself were only thoughts in God’s mind that He spoke into being through Jesus and then He established the Laws of Science after Creation to stabilize the Universe.
A spokesperson for the JWST project stated we only understand about 4% of the universe and know nothing about dark matter or dark energy. He claimed there is no empty space, only continuous galaxies. 2 Excerpt from 60 Minutes interview on April 9, 2023 – see YouTube video
Physical Evidence indicates short timelines
Soft tissue found in fossils reveals short timelines. Deeply embedded fossils would have survived much longer but those closer to the surface should have decayed much sooner. Blood and cartilage should have fully decayed long ago, yet many discoveries contain them. DNA found in recently discovered “Lazarus bacteria” – theorized to be hundreds of millions of years old – surprised researchers as it closely matched recent samples. This strongly supports a 4,500 year span since Noah’s Flood. The answer for this is contamination which is similar to the explanation given for the presence of Carbon-14 in various discoveries. Where did humans get the idea for dinosaurs shown in many cave paintings if they were not living side by side?
Earth’s decaying magnetic field – at the rate of about 5% per century -would only allow thousands of years since its creation. In fact, space exploration has revealed that many planets and moons exhibit much higher gravity rates than millions or billions of years should allow.
Helium releasing from Earth’s radioactive rocks would have stopped long ago if “billions of years” were true, but it hasn’t.
The faint Sun paradox addresses the Sun’s thermonuclear fusion of hydrogen into helium and its gradual increase in brightness over time. A 25 percent increase in brightness would have raised Earth’s temperature from below freezing to more than 60 degrees Fahrenheit hotter than it is now. The theorized “fix” is that Earth’s greenhouse conditions decreased at just the right rate as the Sun’s brightness increased, allowing life to begin and continue.
Carbon-14 – with a half-life of only 5,730 years – is found in coal, natural gas and many types of stone including diamonds as evidenced by the RATE (Radioisotopes and the Age of the Earth) project performed by the Institute of Creation Research. This strongly refutes even tens of thousands of years.
Heavier elements – metals – should have depleted over “billions of years” yet all stars continue to exhibit them.
Fine-Tuning and Radiation indicate design and not random chance
Atheist Stephen Hawking said the following about the Big Bang:
“If the rate of expansion one second after the Big Bang had been smaller by even one part in a hundred thousand million million (that’s one part in a hundred thousand trillion), it would have re-collapsed before it reached its present size. On the other hand, if it had been greater by a part in a million, the universe would have expanded too rapidly for stars and planets to form.” 3 From his book “A Brief History of Time” (1988)
Cosmic Microwave Background – the Horizon problem – refers to electromagnetic waves with tiny temperature variations moving every direction in the universe. This temperature stability could only occur if all regions were close enough to exchange energy and radiation to reach equilibrium unless God created it this way. Again, expansion and then deceleration are proposed but these theories only work within models, and circular reasoning plays a large role in supporting them.
The Solar System and Earth’s Uniqueness indicate design
The multiverse theory admits that our universe appears orderly and designed but claims many universes exist and ours is not unique. But, there is no evidence to define the limits of our universe. Since God and His hand in creation are denied, arrogance, pride and the religion of Humanism force scoffers to present this theory.
Our solar system – shaped like a round disc similar to our galaxy – defies secular theories. All planets orbit the Sun counter-clockwise when viewed from above the Earth. Most of them also rotate counterclockwise but Venus and Uranus rotate in retrograde rotation. With all eight planets having circular orbits, the collision theory fails. Uranus’ axis points toward the Sun rather than more perpendicular to its orbit like the other planets which is another anomaly. Another conundrum for the “naturalists” is Neptune’s moon Triton with a very circular but retrograde orbit and geologic activity.
Variations with terrestrial and Jovian planets. The closest four planets to the Sun – Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars – are called terrestrial as they consist of rock (Latin terra). These four have a total of 3 moons, they rotate slowly and have no rings. The outer four Jovian planets – Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus – consist mostly of gas, rotate very rapidly, have many moons and have rings. In fact, Titan, the largest and very dense moon of Saturn, is larger than Mercury. Atheists claim the terrestrial planets condensed as the lighter elements – helium, nitrogen and oxygen – burned off due to the Sun’s heat and the outer planets consist of these gases due to being in a much colder environment. However, the Earth’s atmosphere consists of mostly nitrogen and oxygen which nullifies this theory. The atheists have no valid response for rapid rotation and the much higher number of moons for the Jovian planets. Jove is another name for Jupiter.
Our Sun is classified as a yellow dwarf and makes up about 7-8% of all stars as maybe 75% of all stars are smaller, cooler and fainter red dwarfs. It is very stable with a very small range of energy output which only varies by about 0.1% every 11 years. This tiny variation is somewhat unique when compared to other stars with similar other features. This feature plus our strong magnetic field and atmosphere allows the sustainability of a habitable climate and life.
The Earth, with its unique atmosphere, magnetic field and Moon is clearly designed. Human life would not have survived if many of these features were even slightly altered.
Our Moon is the largest satellite relative to the size of its host planet in our solar system. It is covered in craters, while the Earth is not. The Moon’s size and mass stabilize Earth’s tides and axial tilt. Its lack of a strong gravitational field and substantial atmosphere allows asteroids and space debris to hit it rather than deflect from the atmosphere and strike the Earth. The idea that it was created by a collision with the Earth is just laughable as it is quite spherical with a very circular orbit. Volcanoes were active on it in the past. Clearly, God ensured that Earth would be protected.
Maybe He gave us these anomalies to confound the skeptics and scoffers and to reveal their errant arrogance.
Scientists Who Recognized Design
Anthony Flew, a lifetime atheist, recognized there was too much design in the universe to deny a Creator, but he stopped short of acknowledging this Deity was the God of the Bible. Satan blinds many from giving glory to God and accepting Jesus as Savior.
Dr. Allan Sandage, a world-renowned astronomer and non-believer, was deeply struck by the complexity and design of the universe. He set out to find the Designer and – after reading the Bible and studying the work of believing scientists such as Blaise Pascal – accepted Pascal’s Challenge and became a Christian. Dr. Sandage acknowledged that God cannot be proven scientifically, but he found the peace he was missing through faith in Him, in Christ and through the evidence They provided.
Dr. Richard Smalley, a world-renowned scientist, moved from atheism to belief in God and he received Christ as his Savior later in life. He said, “The burden of proof is on those who don’t believe that Genesis was right, and there was a creation and that the Creator is still involved … [The fact is] this planet was built specifically for us. Working on this planet is an absolute moral code … Let’s go out and do what we were put on Earth to do.” 4 From a discussion during a 2004 graduation ceremony at Tuskegee University
Paul Davies, theoretical physicist, though not a Christian, acknowledges the laws of the universe display “overwhelming” evidence of design.
It is sad that many will acknowledge that some Deity designed and created the majesty of the fine-tuned Cosmos but stop short of giving the God of the Bible the praise and worship He deserves.
